Happy Thanksgiving

As I sit here on my couch and relax on a much needed day off, I think of everything that I am grateful for. Instantly, my friends and family come to mind. My amazing wife, who has supported me through the past three difficult years of school, my parents who allowed me to become who I am, my brothers and sister who are my best friends and everybody who has supported me. During this holiday season I am thankful for everything that I have and I would like to personally thank those who have helped me get to this point in my life.

Check out my website for a list of my sponsors!!

Have a wonderful holiday season!!!!

Diamond Sponsor Wanted

I am currently looking for a business to be my Diamond Sponsor. This special business will receive the best marketing I have to offer. I will wear their shirt (as long as it has a collar) in the clinic for the remainder of all my shifts at school as well as work (at Acupuncture Continuum in Encinitas, CA) I will also place their logo on my lab jacket. If they wish to send me a tee shirt or sweatshirt I will also sport that around campus. In addition to my human marketing, the company will receive a full page ad at the beginning of my book and a special thank you as an intro. They will also get an Ad banner on the top of my China Adventure 2008 website and an Ad banner on my blog. And just when you thought it doesn't get any better, I am working on a press release to plaster the San Diego area to tell about the amazing companies that are involved with the Acupuncture and Herb practitioners and how they are involved personally with us.

Don't miss this great opportunity if you would like to be my Diamond Sponsor.

Special Shout Out

I would like to give a special shout out to my brother and sister in-law Zach and Christie Linquist. They recently became my biggest sponsor with a generous donation above and beyond the purchase of a platinum book. They did this knowing how important the trip is to me and also how important it will be for everyone involved. I want to personally thank them for everything especially since they are expecting a baby in less than a month. Congrats!!! I am going to have a niece. Yea!!!!

Thanks Guys, You are the Best!!!

Sponsor Update

I would like to thank everybody who has become a sponsor. I am very grateful for your contributions and desire to become a part of this amazing opportunity that I have. You can see a list of all my sponsors on my ChinaAdventure website. Currently, I have sold 7 books and I have raised $1000.00 toward my trip. I am about 50 books short of my goal but there is still hope. I am currently working on getting a business sponsor which would make the whole trip easier. I will keep you all updated as more information is available.

This Just In

Well folks the verdict is in. I finally got a final price on the trip and It is just about what I thought it would cost. $6000 when all is said and done. So I thought I would take the time to Update the blog and let everybody know where I stand. So far I have sold 5 Books. Unfortunately that puts me abut 65 books short of my final goal. I am starting to get nervous but I know that many of you are pulling out your checkbooks as you read this. I want to remind you that this is for a very good cause and the books will be worth more than the purchase price someday. I guarantee it. If you have any questions please give me a call.

Welcome To China Adventure 2008

My Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues,
The past 4 years have been an incredible journey in my life. Most of you think of Jeremy Linquist simply as an extremely funny, hard working, happy go lucky, very handsome (and modest!) young man. Although these things are still true I have added many new and exciting qualities to my repertoire of outstanding personality traits. On July 19, 2003 I married the love of my life, Susie who has supported me through the past three years of final exams, year end exams, midterms, planning, student council work and many other crazy times. In my three years in San Diego I have developed into an amazing man with a direction in life focused on healing. I have learned many lessons pertaining to love, pain, struggle, health, kindness, tranquility, and hope. I am excited about my future as a healer in a world that is wounded in so many ways. I know my path in life and I am eager to set sail towards the adventures and opportunities on the horizon..
Currently I have embraced my learning experience with pride (3.84 grade point average) and excitement. I became involved with the student council early and have been the President of the Student Body for almost 3 years. I am involved in both state and national organizations for Acupuncture (CSOMA, AAAOM). I have helped develop a community of students by enhancing student life on campus. I have also initiated sushi parties and happy hours outside of school in order to blow off a little steam from the rigors of the program. I take part in the advancement of the curriculum by attending Curriculum Advisory Meetings and every opportunity I have, I volunteer to be a part of the student panels for Q&A at orientation, open house or any event needed. I donate my time handing out food to the homeless population of San Diego, working as Co-President of the Donate To Africa Group of PCOM to support the PanAfricanAcupuncture.org group and AIDS patients in Africa and I also volunteer at Vietnam Veterans Stand-down to offer acupuncture to addicts, homeless, and mentally unstable Vets. I assist with the planning and follow-through of the Healing Arts Festival, which is sponsored by the PCOM Student Council, and last but not least I bring a smiling face and free hugs to school everyday for everyone’s benefit.
I have been blessed with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study at a hospital in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China for several weeks in April, 2008. This education and hands-on experience will significantly enhance my medical knowledge and skills. By receiving instruction from the best, I will be able to return and complete my education at the top of my field. I will also have the opportunity to visit Tibet. I am holding a fundraiser with hopes of gathering financial support from family, friends and colleagues who are willing to take part in this special experience. I am going to write a book of my journey, which will include photographs detailing the trip along with daily journal entries. The book will include a special thank you, and will acknowledge each sponsor whose generosity helped to make this dream a reality. The books will be a limited edition and will be the first of many books that I hope to publish during a career that will focus on increasing the quality of life for all people.
I will be forever grateful for your support.
