This Just In

Well folks the verdict is in. I finally got a final price on the trip and It is just about what I thought it would cost. $6000 when all is said and done. So I thought I would take the time to Update the blog and let everybody know where I stand. So far I have sold 5 Books. Unfortunately that puts me abut 65 books short of my final goal. I am starting to get nervous but I know that many of you are pulling out your checkbooks as you read this. I want to remind you that this is for a very good cause and the books will be worth more than the purchase price someday. I guarantee it. If you have any questions please give me a call.

Welcome To China Adventure 2008

My Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues,
The past 4 years have been an incredible journey in my life. Most of you think of Jeremy Linquist simply as an extremely funny, hard working, happy go lucky, very handsome (and modest!) young man. Although these things are still true I have added many new and exciting qualities to my repertoire of outstanding personality traits. On July 19, 2003 I married the love of my life, Susie who has supported me through the past three years of final exams, year end exams, midterms, planning, student council work and many other crazy times. In my three years in San Diego I have developed into an amazing man with a direction in life focused on healing. I have learned many lessons pertaining to love, pain, struggle, health, kindness, tranquility, and hope. I am excited about my future as a healer in a world that is wounded in so many ways. I know my path in life and I am eager to set sail towards the adventures and opportunities on the horizon..
Currently I have embraced my learning experience with pride (3.84 grade point average) and excitement. I became involved with the student council early and have been the President of the Student Body for almost 3 years. I am involved in both state and national organizations for Acupuncture (CSOMA, AAAOM). I have helped develop a community of students by enhancing student life on campus. I have also initiated sushi parties and happy hours outside of school in order to blow off a little steam from the rigors of the program. I take part in the advancement of the curriculum by attending Curriculum Advisory Meetings and every opportunity I have, I volunteer to be a part of the student panels for Q&A at orientation, open house or any event needed. I donate my time handing out food to the homeless population of San Diego, working as Co-President of the Donate To Africa Group of PCOM to support the PanAfricanAcupuncture.org group and AIDS patients in Africa and I also volunteer at Vietnam Veterans Stand-down to offer acupuncture to addicts, homeless, and mentally unstable Vets. I assist with the planning and follow-through of the Healing Arts Festival, which is sponsored by the PCOM Student Council, and last but not least I bring a smiling face and free hugs to school everyday for everyone’s benefit.
I have been blessed with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study at a hospital in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China for several weeks in April, 2008. This education and hands-on experience will significantly enhance my medical knowledge and skills. By receiving instruction from the best, I will be able to return and complete my education at the top of my field. I will also have the opportunity to visit Tibet. I am holding a fundraiser with hopes of gathering financial support from family, friends and colleagues who are willing to take part in this special experience. I am going to write a book of my journey, which will include photographs detailing the trip along with daily journal entries. The book will include a special thank you, and will acknowledge each sponsor whose generosity helped to make this dream a reality. The books will be a limited edition and will be the first of many books that I hope to publish during a career that will focus on increasing the quality of life for all people.
I will be forever grateful for your support.
